Product Service Systems (PSS) Poster

As designers, we can think of organizing a product service system around human activity. In order to better understand the design implications, I chose theater as my research object, presented three examples of product service systems, and drew out their patterns from four perspectives: structures, properties, function, and material.

Album Covers
I designed the album cover for Phase Change which is a progressive metal musician. There is only one 14-minute song in this EP which was released on July 7, 2017. The song is divided into four parts, spring, summer, fall, and winter, respectively. Since he said that everything is inspired by a tree near his apartment, I used tree as the element to show the change of the YEAR.

Solar Term Postcard

In 2013, my friend and I set up an online store where we sold over a thousand sets of the postcard. During the same year, I came to America to study. As the saying goes, "All alone in a foreign land, I am twice as homesick on this day. "Inspired by the homesick feeling, I designed a set of the postcards, which combines the American landscape with Chinese solar term. The meaning behind the postcards is that even international students are studying alone in a foreign country, our hearts are still connected with our family through our culture.

Furniture Upgrading

A game reward system provides a way to give users something back for the time and effort spent in-game, and that is a key to boosting loyalty and making fans stick around. So after Woobo (v.1.5) was shipped in September, we started to design and test a reward system. In this reward system, the user can use their reward (berry) to upgrade the interior furniture.
Our Illustrator Kaitlyn designed all the locations in Woobo's World. I worked with her on new sets of furniture for different locations. Below was my illustration of new furniture. (The circled furniture were old furniture which designed by Kaitlyn)
